It was indeed a day of joy for Mrs Funmilayo Akanmi a struggling widowed trader, when the volunteer team of our partner, Bowl of Mercy Foundation a charity organization based in Calgary, Canada, presented the sum of #25,000 to boost her petty business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The 39 years old widow, lost her husband to the cold hands of death 15 yrs ago, leaving her to cater for their 2 children all alone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Another tragedy struck when one of the children died because she could not afford to take the child to the hospital when the child was sick. This sad incident left her completely devastated and traumatized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Presently, she sells soft drinks and snacks in front of Lagos State General hospital Ikeja, to cater for her family. The meagre income she makes from this trade daily is barely enough to put food on her table or buy drugs, as she has been diagnosed with low blood pressure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n When the Bowl of Mercy Foundation Volunteer team presented the sum of N25,000 to her to boosted her petty business, she was overwhelmed with joy and even broke down in Tears, thanking the Foundation for putting smile on the her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To God be the glory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Azemobor Gregory Foundation deeply appreciate the President of Bowl of Mercy Foundation, Mrs Patricia Jebose, for this noble partnership to lift Widows and indigent mothers out of poverty.
