“I cry every night seeing how my widowed mother sacrifices for us”- Komolafe Michael
My name is Komolafe Michael. I am 14 years old. I attend Okeria Junior Grammar School, Ogba Ikeja, Lagos. I am in JSS 3. I am a recipient of the Azemobor Gregory Foundation’s educational scholarship program. His widow’s empowerment initiative has also assisted my mother.
“My mom works so hard as a widow to sponsor us through school. Her biggest wish is for all her children to be educated. She worries about sustaining our education as her grinding business is unstable. My mother hasn’t bought anything pricey for herself in a while, and I haven’t seen her dress nicely. Most nights, I cried myself to sleep, seeing a beautiful young widow trying to sacrifice everything within her reach to give her children a better future. Life is simply unfair to my family. Most evenings, we go to bed without food in the hopes of finding it tomorrow. Getting new school uniforms, and tuition fees is a big disaster every new school year.
I can’t even begin to describe how happy I was when the project manager from the Azemobor Gregory Foundation visited us today to tell my mother about a scholarship program.”
Today, the Educational scholarship program under the Azemobor Gregory Foundation made a cash donation of N100,000 to Mrs. komolafe as our yearly scholarship support for Michael.
