One such beneficiary of the foundation’s Widows Empowerment Program is Mrs. Helen Ali, a 47-year-old widow residing in Lagos, who tragically lost her husband to food poisoning. In the aftermath of this profound loss, Mrs. Ali was confronted with the daunting responsibility of providing for her four children.
Undeterred by the challenges, Mrs. Ali took the initiative to start a small-scale business in front of her home, offering food ingredients for sale. This endeavor was launched with the limited resources she had gathered from the generosity of friends and well-wishers.
Regrettably, Mrs. Ali’s life took an even more distressing turn when her late husband’s relatives, accompanied by a lawyer and legal documents, unceremoniously evicted her from her residence without prior notice. In her own words, Mrs. Ali expressed, “Since then, we have endured significant hardship. GOD.”
During this trying period, the Azemobor Gregory Foundation’s Widows Empowerment Program extended a compassionate hand to Mrs. Ali. The foundation bestowed upon her a generous grant of N 50,000, aimed at bolstering her small business and offering hope in her life.
Overwhelmed with joy and gratitude, Mrs. Ali found herself nearly speechless as she praised the foundation for the profound impact it had on her life. This act of kindness was made possible by the compassionate heart of our dear brother, Mr. Clement Awelimobor, who played a crucial role in this noble initiative.
