Struggling Widow and Mother of Four Rejoices After Azemobor Gregory Foundation Intervention

Azemobor Gregory Foundation

The Azemobor Gregory Foundation believes that no widow should walk her journey alone. Mrs. Ojika Eni Ubi, a 43-year-old widow, has struggled to raise her four children alone since her husband passed away in 2017. Consequently, life has been turbulent for her family of five. Although she sells provisions at the Ikeja cantonment, her meager daily income barely covers their basic needs. They have virtually lived from hand to mouth for years.

However, Mrs. Ojika had a reason to smile today. The Azemobor Gregory Foundation visited her family to share their pain and wipe away their tears. In a move that came as a big surprise, she received a free cash grant of ₦20,000 to boost her petty business.

Empowering Dreams Through Azemobor Gregory Foundation Grants

Mrs. Ojika plans to use this empowerment fund to start a food business. Specifically, she will sell meals to teachers and students at the school where she currently operates. This boost will enable her to increase her income and better cater to her children’s needs. To God be the glory!

The Azemobor Gregory Foundation aims to empower 10,000 widows and indigent mothers with similar grants. Indeed, the primary goal of this project is to improve livelihoods and help families become self-sufficient. To see more of our impact, you can view our other Widow Empowerment stories here.

Why We Share These Stories

We share videos and pictures of our charitable activities for a specific reason. Our goal is not to “show off,” but rather to teach humanity how to love one another practically. To learn more about global statistics on widowhood, you can visit the United Nations International Widows’ Day page.

  • To Create Awareness: We highlight the plight of hapless widows globally who are often abandoned by the government and society.
  • To Teach Service: We believe that service to humanity is the only true “religion” recognized by God. Furthermore, faith is meaningless if we fail to help the poor around us.
  • To Inspire Action: We want to inspire you to join this campaign. Look around your locality for struggling widows and support them directly.
  • To Encourage Religious Growth: We urge religious organizations to prioritize love and shared humanity over rigid dogmas.

Ultimately, we want to appreciate our beloved brothers and sisters at the BethelMendels Group, whose generous donations made this empowerment possible. Together, we can make the world a better place!
