Mrs Yetunde Omotayo, a hapless widow, who lost her husband in 2009 to a strange ailment while her last son (Owolabi) was just barely 2years old has reasons to smile today as the Azemobor Gregory Foundation Intervened to wipe away her tears.
The mother of 2 children who resides in Ikorodu Lagos, has refused to re-marry but instead, does menial jobs ranging from cleaning and hawking just to cater for her 2 children whom she enrolled into a public school as her sole goal is to see that they get educated against all odds.
She stopped hawking due to her walking disability and later settled to selling Garri (Granulated cassava flakes) and rice at a particular spot at Agric Bus stop, Ikorodu Lagos.
Life indeed has been unfair to her since the death of her husband. She has been abandoned and neglected by society with nobody to support her, as she struggles to survive with her 2 kids. This unfortunate situation has made her terribly distressed.
But today, she has every reason to smile as the Azemobor Gregory Foundation presented a free cash grant of N50,000 to her to boost her petty trade, She was speechless and overwhelmed as she has never expected to receive such gestures, especially from “strangers”.
