A widow, Mrs Blessing Onwe, receives ₦20,000 to start a petty business

Widows empowerment

15th August 2020, the Azemobor Gregory Foundation volunteer team was at Ubiaja , Edo state, to visit and empower a widow, Mrs Blessing Onwe, who lost her husband LAST MONTH, JULY, 2020. Her husband was killed by a reckless driver in an accident, on his way from the farm. The hapless widow, with four kids is yet to recover from the shock of her husband’s death. And now she is saddled with the responsibility of providing for the family all alone. Oh! My God. This is pathetic!!!

Our volunteer team ran into her last week in Ubiaja, during their visit to another widow within her neighborhood . She could not help but to appeal to our team to support her as well
” Please I need your help too. My husband just died last month and left me with 4 children to cater for. How do I cope? . I am in pain…..” she agonized

And so her joy knew no bounds yesterday when she received a free cash grant of #20,000 to start a petty business to support her family.
To God be the glory!!
