Azemobor Gregory Foundation Vocational Training Sponsorship Program

The Azemobor Gregory Foundation in partnership with Jenlo Shoes and Bags Academy is set to Train 50 Esan daughters on Modern Industrial Shoes/Bags Making skills. Each lucky beneficiary will receive a free training grant of N 500,000 each to cover:
  1. 6 months intensive training tuition fee
  2. Training materials
  3. Training Hostel Accommodation
  4. Monthly stipend for 6 months
  5. Free sewing machine and tools upon graduation

Aims/Benefits of the Free Vocational Training:

  1. To economically empower Esan daughters from poor families, who are unable to go to school.
  2. To provide self-employment opportunity for Esan daughters, who are job seekers from poor families.
  3. To promote local industrialization and made in Nigeria Products.
  4. To discourage Esan daughters from travelling abroad to engage in Indecent jobs.
  5. To contribute our quota in developing the much needed industrial manpower for the growth of local Manufacturing in Nigeria.
  6. Upon graduation, each trainee is expected to start their small scale bags and shoes manufacturing business.
  7. Each Trainee will be encouraged to train others who are interested in the craft, thereby increasing local industrial manpower capacity.

Target Beneficiaries;
The Vocational Training Sponsorship Program is aimed solely at supporting the poor and the needy. The criteria for selection will consider the following:

  1. Esan daughters with minimum qualification of secondary school education from poor families, who are unable to further their education
  2. Esan daughters who are orphans, children of disable or sick parents
  3. Esan daughters from poor families, who are job seekers ready to learn vocational skills for self- employment
  4. Returnee Esan daughters from Abroad who are ready to learn vocational skills for economic empowerment
  5. Age criteria: 25-35yrs.

Training Program timeline

  1. May 1st – June 30th, 2024
    Submission of application by interested persons
  2. July 1st – July 31ST
    Screening and Selection of qualified beneficiaries
  3. August, 2024
    Admission ceremony and commencement of training
  4. March, 2025
    Graduation of beneficiaries after 6 months intensive training
