Mrs Amarachi received a free cash grant to boost her petty trade

Mrs Amarachi Danpki, popularly known as Mama Joe, is a 34-year-old widow who lost her husband years ago. She has three children (1 daughter and 2 sons), all of whom are incapable of meeting their basic needs.
Mrs Amarachi currently resides with her children at No. 33 Egowu Street Ladipo, Lagos. This destitute widow is the caretaker of the family; she provides the educational costs for the children, the feeding, and the accommodation of the family. Regardless of the current situation of bad governance, she strives every day to ensure that they have something to eat and a roof over their heads.
Mrs Amarachi is a petty trader who sells foodstuffs like pepper, garri, groundnut oil, and palm oil around the Ladipo bus stop. She is a very hard-working woman who goes to the market every 2-3 days to buy goods to sell but is unable to get a profit as the family feeds on whatever gains she makes daily, and so they live from hand to mouth.
But today she has every reason to smile as the Azemobor Gregory Foundation presented a free cash grant of N50,000 to her, to boost her petty trade; she was speechless and overwhelmed as she has never expected to receive such gestures, especially from “strangers”.
